Jesse VanDyke, Owner

I love building things. Ever since I struck my first welding arc at 13 in my dad's garage, I have loved to weld. Working with metal is a passion for me. Getting into the automation industry was great I learned how to build machines, set them up and make them work well.

When I started tuning production parts, we didn’t use a FaroArm to set tools before we put parts in them. We would set the tools to the prototype parts - usually sub-par prototype parts. I learned how the parts getting welded react to each other: how they push and pull on each other. Doing that for years gave me the real-world dimensional problem-solving skills I have today. It makes me uniquely suited to come in and address your dimensional issues. After learning how to use the FaroArm and set tools to match CAD, I became even more capable of getting good parts off the machine quickly.

Always willing to help out, ask questions and learn new things I became familiar with all aspects of machine control and function. Regularly a finisher of machines, I would be the one in the end to make everything work, designing improvements, adjusting switches, shimming to fit gauge, and buy-off. Wanting to provide people with a focused, highly skilled machine technician, I started Ridge Tooling. I look forward to this stage of my professional life and I am excited to provide a trustworthy source for your machine service needs.
